ABOUT AMANDA, AND WHATNOT.

I wish that I could honestly say I remembered exactly what these dishes were called from memory, but I had to look up the menu on the website. I’m not that clever. :)

The first dish was Bryce’s. He ordered the Mango and Spice Crusted Tuna Steak with Green Peppercorn Green Chile Sauce and Toasted Pine Nut Cous Cous.

I liked a lot. I love ahi tuna, but I’m not a fan of five spice, so this isn’t something that I would order again.

Baron (Bryce’s brother) and I both ordered the Grilled Lamb Porterhouse Chops  with Preserved Serrano Chile Vinegar Sauce and a Goat Cheese Tamale + Cilantro Butter. OHMYGOSH. This was fantastic. The lamb was perfectly crusted on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside.

Mary Sue (Bryce’s step mom) ordered the Cornmeal Crusted Chile Relleno with Roasted Eggplant and Manchego Cheese and Sweet Red Pepper Sauce + Balsamic Vinegar This was really delicious too, but it was pretty spicy! M-Sue actually saw this on one of Bobby Flay’s tv shows, so she had to order it.. It was a pretty fantastic choice!

Kayla (Baron’s girlfriend) had the Fire Roasted Veal Chop with Horseradish-Maple Glaze and Wild Rice Tamale + Sage Butter

I didn’t get a picture of the steak Bryce’s dad ordered, but it sure did look tasty!

We ordered three desserts and shared them.  They were

Churros Dusted with Cinnamon Sugar + Star Anise  with Dark Chocolate + Coconut Dulce de Leche  dipping sauces. YUM!

Deep Dish Banana Cream Pie with a Praline Wafer and Hazelnut Brittle

Chocolate Espresso Tart with Roasted Banana Ice Cream This was my favorite-probably because I picked it out. :)

I’m so grateful Bryce’s family included me on this trip! I had the time of my life! It was so much fun, and I got to spend a lot of quality time with his family, so it was a win win situation.
